LEAD Scholars Academy
During my undergraduate career, I was accepted into the LEAD Scholars Academy. This program allowed me to further develop my leadership and professional development skills through various leadership-oriented courses related to the healthcare field. I also served as the Technology Director on the LEAD Student Association board where I hosted workshops oriented toward teaching graphic design skills. Moreover, I spearheaded the very first LEAD Scholars Pageant. Additionally, collaborated on a team to execute four successful service projects including a menstrual product drive in collaboration with PERIOD at UCF for the local women’s shelter, a free menstrual educational workshop in partnership with PERIOD at UCF, a food drive for the Knights Helping Knights Pantry, and a food drive for SALT UCF. In my last semester, I took a global leadership course that delved into different perspectives surrounding leadership around the world. This course allowed me to think critically about leadership in medicine and how that differs from country to country.
Knights Helping Knights Pantry
At Knight Helping Knight‘s Pantry I am able to help my Community alleviate food insecurity among college students. Each shift I am able to assist the customers to find healthy and balanced food choices. I also Generate daily reports of incoming donations, orders of customers, and clothing rentals for over 100 customers daily. This experience allowed me to be a part of something greater than myself to positively impact my campus. I was glad to know that each shift I would be able to help hundreds of people who experience food insecurity.
